I really, really missed collecting Lolita because to me, it's much more than a fashion, it really is a collection. Each coordinate is some sort of "match set" I have in my head that I need to collect the bits and pieces to.
One of my first purchases once I started buying was a new pair of bloomers. When these popped up I was absolutely in love. They were only about $7 shipped and I couldn't pass up the deal. I do have a pair of bloomers that I made myself but they were mistakenly washed on the wrong cycle and now a bit more beaten up than they were before, haha!
My next purchase was this cardigan, which I got for $12. It's really cute and it fits well. It has a lot of pearl and frill detailing which makes it perfect for my more OTT looks.
I may take it in a bit at the bottom to detract from the 'box' shape, but I won't until I've tried it on with a jsk so I can be sure that tightening the bottom won't throw off the shape of a high-waisted dress.
This is officially the first 'coordinate' I put together since I left Lolita and I am really happy that I held onto my DreamV cutsews, as the pastel pink is perfect with the jumper.
And, as always, with Lolita comes a great need for me to craft. I don't know why but I've always been a fan of making my own accessories whenever I can do so. So I made this foxtail after a bit of annoyance with my first try [the synthetic fibers of the first fox tail didn't take well to an attempt at dying it a pastel pink color and so I left this one white instead of attempting it a second time].
And then there's my puffy stars, one of my most popular posts was my Puffy Star Tutorial and I have been wanting to revisit it, possibly tweak it, and work on making more puffy stars and brooches for my own fun, as well as possibly everyone else's.
Not the best picture but here's the cardigan as well with the jsk. I really am pleased with this look, now I just need to finish my petticoat so I can try all of this on and see if it looks as good off the hanger!
And, as everyone should know: I'm entered in the GothicLolitaWigs' spokesmodel contest and if you'd like to vote for me, you can do so here.
